Since 1999, The Austin Project has annually honored individuals whose vision mirrors the work of TAP. All honorees have distinguished themselves by making a significant contribution to the Austin area by volunteering their time, effort and resources.
TAP awards two types of awards:
- Leadership Award: This award is given to individuals who have made a significant contribution to a project or initiative that strengthens families, improves education, or promotes early literacy.
- Lifetime Achievement Award: This award is given to individuals who have dedicated their lives to improving the lives of children and their families in the Austin area. They work collaboratively to strengthen families, improve education and/or promote early literacy.
